How long have you been crafting?
I've been doing creative things all my life, I started crafting in 2006 when I started my soft furnishing business,  there was a craft shop next door and all the lovely goodies lured me in! Work and life became very busy and I stopped for a while but got the urge to start again about 18 months ago and now I can't stop!

Do you have a blog?

What made you start blogging about your hobby?
I wanted to have a go at the Docrafts blog challenge so set up my blog so I could do that. I'm also looking for a career change and very much want to become a freelance designer and I thought blogging would be another outlet for my work to be seen.

Who has inspired you in the craft world?
I remember seeing Becky James doing a demonstration on the Isle of Wight years ago and really loving how clever she was with techniques, always finding something a little bit quirky to do with her stash and I definitely aspire to that.

Do you belong to any craft group on social media?
Besides Craft Blogging Central, I'm a member of Docrafts and Docrafts Creativity club which is brilliant for free downloads and inspiration.

Do you take part in craft challenges or on any design teams?
I love a craft challenge,me! I like to enter Jill's Challenge on the Docrafts site and also the Docrafts blog challenge as I know I win some lovely Docrafts goodies! I would absolutely love to be on a design team, I'm definitely up for that amazing opportunity should anyone wish to consider me!

Where do you craft?
I craft in my workroom at home. I have a large cutting table and a good sized ironing table with my crafting goodies underneath, waiting to come out when work is finished! There's plenty of space to spread out. My husband calls it my "Playroom" when the crafting starts!

When do you find time to craft?
I always find time at the weekends for crafting and the odd evening  if I'm lucky. I'm currently trying to keep Fridays free from work so I can pursue my change in career.

Favorite Stash?
Absolutely anything Docrafts, although I'm also partial to a bit of Stampin' Up.

How long have you been crafting?
All my life I was taught to knit at a very young age, I have always made cards and painted and started Scrapbooking in my early 20’s.

What made you start blogging about your hobby?
I started my first ever blog with just my craft items, then I moved into Mummy Blogging and then I restarted a craft blog as I love to show off what I make to other people.

I am on the design team for the Crafty Boots Challenges and the Creative Connections Monthly Craft Challenge

Where do you craft?
In my own craft room, which is the smallest room in the house!

When do you find time to craft?
I try to do my crafting in the evenings and when my little boy is at preschool.

Favorite Stash?
Oh there are so many! I currently love the Gorjuss range

Craft Blog Focus - Linda Simpson

Hello everyone my name is Linda Simpson.

What is your favourite Craft?
I love paper craft and I have just started to do altered art and I love it!  I have tried all kinds of crafts starting very young with knitting.  I have made cross stitch pictures which have been framed and given as gifts and dotted around my own home, embroidery and crochet.  Very recently I have started to make some jewellery too.

How long have you been Crafting?
Like a lot of crafters I have been crafting for as long as I can remember.  I have been paper crafting now for 13 years and learnt so much in that time.

Do you have a Blog?

What made you start blogging about your hobby?
A lot of my friends (some are not crafters) kept badgering me into blogging.  On the 24th February 2011 I took the plunge and started my blog. I can honestly say that I never thought at first I would get into blogging but WOW these past 2 years have been absolutely amazing and it was the best thing I did!!!!

Who has inspired you in the craft world?
This is a hard one to answer!  A lot of people have inspired me.  My blogging friends, crafting celebrities, and Pinterest inspire me.

Do you belong to any Craft Group on Social Media?
Yes, I am in quite a few crafting groups on Facebook, as well as social forums, such as DoCrafts and My Craft Studio.

Do you take part in craft challenges or on any design teams?
Yes I blog every day so I do enter quite a few challenges.  I am on the design team for Kraftyhands as well as being design team and blog administrator.  I am also on the design team for Lacy Sunshine and Crafty-Emblies.

Where do you craft?
I am lucky that we converted one of our spare bedrooms into my craft room about 3 to 4 years ago and this is where I spend all my time crafting.

When do you find time to craft?
I am lucky that there is only my husband and I at home.  Crafting is my life, I do take time off when I go away and of course when I travel to Leeds to work at Kraftyhands as their Social Media Manager.

Favourite Stash
Oh my goodness, I have so many favourites but at the moment it has to be my melt pot.  It was through playing with the melt pot and spellbinder dies that I made my first you tube video.

If you could nominate one person for a Crafters Bloggers Central Award who would it be?
Crafting celebrity would be Sue Wilson, she is just awesome with the projects she makes using the spellbinders.
Non-crafting celebrity would be Lindsay Jolley (http://craftymonster81.blogspot.com), she makes fabulous creations using all types of materials.

What made you start blogging about your hobby? I was asked to join a Design Team run by someone I was friends with in a facebook craft group, and needed a blog. I have been blogging ever since.

Who has inspired you in the craft world? Nikky Hall, crafting friends, my mum as she does lots of other crafts, everyone on Create and Craft and blogs that I find and visit. I am lucky to have a lot of crafting friends on facebook, and all them are very talented and all show me something new.

Do you belong to any craft group on social media? I run a craft group called 'Mad Crafters Giggles' on facebook and we offer daily challenges, craft stash swaps, laughs and help. We are a fun group that is quite small but we all enjoy it and we all get involved.
I am also members of all the usual facebook groups and a liker for all the crafting pages. I use blogging groups quite often to not only advertise my own blog posts, but to look at others blogs and also find new challenges etc.

Do you take part in craft challenges or on any design teams? I take part in my facebook groups daily challenge when I can and I also like to sometimes join in a friends ATC swap. I look on blogs for new Challenges and try and enter if my cards fit with the themes. I am quite strange as I like to make a card and then see if it fits, rather than make a card specifically for a challenge. I do it the hard way lol
I am lucky to be a Design Team Member of the LEJ Designs Challenge Blog. This is a great design team and very friendly. I love colouring, so this DT is perfect for me as we use the LEJ Designs Digital Images and make every two weeks.

Where do you craft? We have a backroom/computer room which was set up with a TV and sofa for when I want to watch something that other people don't. This has been turned into a pert time craft room and my brothers room/the spare bedroom is my dumping ground for all my bits and pieces lol. The spare room no longer has room for a bed so my brother has to sleep in my craft room when he comes home. It takes ages to pack everything away and move it and then move it back as soon as he has closed the front door.

When do you find time to craft? In the evenings mainly when watching the soaps on TV. We have a new doggie who is 1 so he takes up a lot of time....plus he loves to chew and shred paper so he can't come in my craft room!!!! I try and make at least one card a day. I unfortunately have some mental health and psychological issues so I use crafting as a therapy. When my mind is overworking I tend to plod off to my craft room and have a play.

Favorite Stash? WOW.....where do I start..... Hunkydory and Kanban toppers, Card Candi (Have so much I could swim in them), Distress inks and Re-inkers, Paper, Stamps....EVERYTHING....I couldn't do without any of it lol

If you could nominate one person for a Crafters Bloggers Central Award who would it be? Moira Gray http://moirascraftycorner-moiragray.blogspot.co.uk/ Unfortunately, Moira doesn't get the blog traffic that she should because her work is gorgeous. Moira has been such a support to me in crafting and in personal issues. Me and Moira have been through so much regarding meeting the same nasty and Moira helped me handle the situation in the right way. Moira is lovely and she is my highland Cooooooo (My pet name for her and she replies as Moooooo) lol Yes, we are nutters!
